The motto "Deo regique laborant" meaning 'They work for God and the King" [They, meaning the bees.]

In 1643, on rue Saint-Honoré, Claude Trudon set up shop as a grocer and candler. His candles supplied parishes and homes.

In 1714 the use of of beeswax was introduced to the process of making.

The wax is carefully harvested from the hive before being filtered, washed, and exposed to sunlight in order to obtain the purest white possible.

In centuries to follow, we have come to live with the "miracle of electricity", extending the illusion of sweet mother natures daylight. Though I feel in many ways, fooling our circadian rhythm, essential for the balance to our well being.

Light therapy is one of the most important everyday elements; of certainty to me. The benefits of being exposed to candlelight is a purer form, emitting less intensive blue light; crucial to organic-ly slip into least resistant stage of deep layers in restorative sleep.
